Princess Diana's famous black taffeta evening gown has been sold for $276,000! The gorgeous gown was auctioned off in London, and was reportedly bought by a fashion museum in Chile.

Designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, Diana's daring dress created quite a sensation when she wore it to a black-tie benefit in March 1981. Besides breaking the unspoken rule that black was only to be worn at funerals, she also bared a lot of cleavage. Even though her daring attire created a royal scandal, it also set the future princess on the road to becoming one of the most famous fashion icons in the world.
