A little while ago, actress Natalie Portman’s reps confirmed to People magazine exclusively that the actress is not only engaged to choreographer Benjamin Millepied, she’s also carrying his child! This will be the first child for the actress who is due in 2011.
The two met while they were working on the set of Black Swan, which is clearly where everything good that has happened to costume-making went down this year. The actress is nominated for both a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors’ Guild Award for her portrayal as a ballerina hell bent on perfection, and we’re guessing that her performance has a lot to do with Millepied’s instruction.
But as much as we know about Portman, Millepied isn’t quite as famous — or at least he isn’t yet. According to his profile in last June’s issue of Details, he’s got aspirations of being a director. Do we smell a Hollywood power family in the making? Why yes, we think we do!
