The company says it has sold about 100 since introducing it in 2008. This is another item that will be stashed inside our "things that are ridiculously expensive for no reason but that some idiot will buy anyway because it has a designer’s logo on it" file, and it will be added to one of our previous posts. John Galliano is taking things to a new level with these branded contact lenses. These Christian Dior have a swipe of gold on the surface as well as a tiny CD logo on the sides. Is it me, or is this a bit too much? What do you think?

Doesn't look like England's having a good week at the World Cup!

A bizarre incident at the team’s hotel in Sun City saw the team’s entire kit of jersey, shorts, socks and sweat suits covered in a disgusting mess after a sewage drain overflowed and flooded the storage room where the uniforms were being kept. Equipment manager Tom McKechnie and his assistants were forced to spend all day Monday washing and rewashing the all-white clothing to avoid it being ruined by dark stains. Six-figure shopping sprees? Check! Catfights? Check! One of the Prince of Brunei's 40 girlfriends? You bet. Jillian Lauren on her 18-month adventure in a modern-day harem.

Jillian Lauren quit New York University her freshman year to become a "party guest" for a "wealthy businessman in Singapore," and ended up spending a year-and-a-half in the harem of the Prince of Brunei. A lifelong nonconformist who chafed against her upper-middle-class upbringing, Lauren was living in the Southeast Asian sultanate by age 18, receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts as one of the prince's 40 girlfriends. With the release of her memoir, Some Girls, Lauren — now 36 and living in Los Angeles with her husband, Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, and their young son — talks prostitution, empowerment, and how, even when money is exchanged, feelings are always a factor.

It is ridiculous to question why Diego Armando Maradona does ANYTHING, but the reason behind him wearing two watches during the Argentina vs Nigeria game is actually a simple one: Maradona ALWAYS wears two watches when he travels: one set to local time, and one set to the time back in Argentina. Let's just face it. Maradona is simply a man full of extravagant bling-bling. I don't think we will ever see him without his large diamond earrings, gold chains, and apparently, now we will never see him travel to a World Cup match unless luxury toilet seats are installed in his hotel rooms (The E-Bidet features a heated seat, a warm air blow-dryer, front and rear bidet wands, & sells for $450/358 euros). He also enjoys the feel of Rolex watches around his wrists, but then we heard the Italian tax authorities enjoy it a bit more after they seized a pair from him to start repaying the $39m in taxes he owes them. LOL! Now, we will only see the futbol legend holding his Rosary beads while wearing his Hublot Special Edition watches which feature a silhouette of the former player raising his arms in victory. Kinda cool!

What do you think of his Hublot Special Edition??

Dutch bedding company "Snurk" has designed some fun bedding that will make you do a double take. Their newest line is called the "White Laundry Series," and it creates the illusion of white laundry pieces (bra, thong, sock, shirt) being left on your bed. I'm sure this series will make any neat freak go crazy!

Other cool "Snurk" collections include "Le Clochard" which creates the illusion of being covered with cardboard boxes, and "Le Trottoir" which creates the illusion of sleeping on pavement. A large portion of the proceeds from these two collections go to SZN (a foundation for homeless youngsters in the Netherlands).

The world's oldest leather shoe, 1,000 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt and 400 years older than Stonehenge in Britain, has been found perfectly preserved in a cave in Armenia.

The shoe is made of a single piece of cow-hide leather, had laces, and was shaped to fit the wearer's foot. It is 24.5 cm long, 7.6 cm to 10 cm wide (matching a modern-day European size 37 or U.S. size 7), and dates back to around 3,500 BC (an era known as the Chalcolithic period).
